 Planning is the key

Following engagement a process of business understanding and data gathering takes place. It is important to ascertain what data is available, and what is important to the clients business.

Data needs to be available electronically, whether from suppliers,

or internally.

Data then needs to be ‘cleansed’ and systems put in place to ensure ongoing clean data.

Reports can then be produced, either by ourselves, or more usually by the clients after initial training.

A Chartered Management Accountant with a background in Blue Chip FMCG organisations and in the Education sector. Measuring performance has been the key interest in my career, and I have been heavily involved with Spreadsheet, ERP, OLAP and web based systems.

I now focus on helping business understand their data, and  have other interests in energy and cost reduction businesses.

Work is charged out on an hourly basis, supported by time-sheets. Most of the work is performed off-site in order to more efficiently use time and to reduce carbon through travel.

Expenses are charged on top, and if new software is needed to deliver a solution the client will contract directly with the vendor, with MAY Management Limited acting as Introducer
